#2185 - Sourdough starter is the secret to delicious, tangy bread. Discover the science behind sourdough, observe a mature starter, and take home your own for tasty baked goods. You will also learn how to make a simple sourdough Easter bread (you’ll get a sample, too). Participants MUST bring a spatula and a glass or ceramic bowl with a lid that will hold at least three cups of flour.

During this hands-on class, you’ll make arugula and artichoke salad with lemon vinaigrette, linguine with asparagus and prosciutto, pappardelle with black olive tapenade and goat cheese, and basil-limoncello sorbet. You must be able to stand for the duration of the class. Class fee: $35 (non-refundable). AARP will sponsor the remaining $35 fee.
